Students- policies & grant application

Students within a broad field of ore deposits research are invited and encouraged to participate in the 18th SGA Biennial Meeting. The meeting will offer a great opportunity for students to interact with leading scientists, other young researchers, and the industry in an inspired and informal environment.

The following incentives are being offered to encourage strong student participation at the 18th SGA Biennial Meeting:

Student benefits

Heavily Discounted Registration Fees

The registration fees for all students are at a reduced level, SGA Student Members paying the lowest registration fees.

Student- Industry Event

An evening event where students can meet Industry representatives. Included in the conference registration fee.

Subsidy of Student registration fees and travel grant

Following receipt of applications, SGA will award free conference registration and travel grants to selected SGA student members presenting at the 18th SGA Biennial Meeting.

Discounted Short Course and Field Trip Fees

Short Courses have discounted registration fees for SGA student members. Following receipt of applications (through the abstract submission portal), SGA will award selected students a free short course registration.

    January 6th, 2025 – Student grant application portal opens

    February 21st, 2025 – Student grant application portal closes

    May 2, 2025 – Student grants are approved
