Abstract Submission
Abstract submission will open January 6, 2025 and will close February 21, 2025.
The SGA 2025 Local Organizing Committee invites submissions to the conference for consideration and inclusion in the technical program. The main theme for the conference is Mineral Resources for our Ever-Changing World. Submissions are encouraged on topics related to mineral deposit research exploration, and technological developments related to mineral deposits.
Guidelines
Format of Submission
SGA extended abstracts are encouraged to be 4-page contributions that follow the general structure of a research paper, with components such as an abstract, introduction, geologic background, data, interpretations/conclusions, and references. Figures and tables are encouraged to convey results. Abstract submissions follow a stringent format to ensure uniform structure and appearance. **Submissions not conforming to the correct format and template will be returned to authors without being reviewed.
Key Dates
January 6th, 2025: Abstract submission portals open
February 21st, 2025: Abstract submission portals close
April 4th, 2025: Abstract revision notice
April 18th, 2025: Final revised abstract due
May 2nd, 2025: Final abstract acceptance/ rejection

General information
Review and Notification to Authors
You will be advised if you have been allocated a poster or oral time slot in the program and you will be required to make amendments to your paper based on the feedback from the reviewer. All completed submissions will be reviewed. You will be informed by email of the acceptance status of your abstract by 2 May 2025.
Registration
All presenters are required to register and pay the conference registration fee in order to be included in the program and to present in person at the event.
Publication
By submitting an abstract/paper, authors agree to the publication of chosen abstracts/papers on the conference proceedings or similar by SGA.
Presentation
Accepted oral presentations will be included within topical sessions of the official conference program. Posters will be on display during the conference and poster presenters will be allocated a set time to be available at their poster for discussion with viewers. Further details will be advised with the confirmation email.
