Visas

To help you with your travel arrangements, below are links to important information regarding visa invitation letters, visas, and other resources.

Visa Invitation Letters

If you are visiting the United States from outside of the country and do not have United States citizenship, you may require a visa. Click here for more information on U.S. visas.

Fill out our SGA 2025 Letter of Invitation Request Form to receive a personalized invitation via email. If you require additional information on your invitation letter in order to obtain approval to travel or for your visa, please email us at registrar@sga.org.

*Please Note: As Visa requests can take several weeks, registrants are strongly encouraged to apply for the letter of Invitation no later than two months prior to the conference.

On Arrival at U.S. Customs

Upon arrival in the United States, foreign citizens must hold a valid Passport with at least six months of validity and, if required, a  valid U.S. visa. However, visitors from countries participating in the Visa Waiver Program (VWP), including most European, Commonwealth, and certain Asian nations, do not need a visa for stays of up to 90 days. They will be granted entry through U.S. immigration with an Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) approval, provided upon arrival.

Immigration policies are subject to change, so check with a U.S. Embassy of the Department of Homeland Security (www.dhs.gov) for the latest information. For details on the United States’ entry and exit policies and procedures, visit:

  • U.S. Customs and Border Protection (www.cbp.gov)
  • U.S. Department of State (www.state.gov)
